Born: 1960 Rich Ward, otherwise known as Duke LaRue, met Moongoose in high school when Moongoose cheated on his math test. Being extremely talented with his guitar at an early age, he joined the jazz band, where he met future Fozzy drummer KK LaFlame, known at that time as Brad Fontsere. It was during this time that Rich also met Arthur, who happens to have Swinus. Arthur happened to have PA equipment at the time, and after a bit of persuading with Moongoose, Arthur was let into the group as a roadie.
During their stint in Japan, Duke worked as a sushi arrangement chef, cooking the food that garnishes sushi dishes. Since not a lot of this garnishing is used for sushi, Duke had time to practice his skills and hone them into what they are today...perfection.
Moongoose believes that Duke is responsible for getting the group into the mess that they got into in Japan by not reading the contract but Duke actually thinks it's Moongoose's fault. "I trusted Moongoose, since he is the lead singer and, yeah I did sign the contract, but by his advisement."
When asked about whether the band will make it or not, he says, "Well, you don't plan on failing do ya? But success comes with the company you keep so...we might get lucky." |
